I have my final 3 sectors booked on the DSC offer coming up in October - been such a long time between flights (3 months) I am getting withdrawal symptoms

Seeing your posts on FB, I presume this will get you very close (if not over the line) of P1 renewal?

A friend of mine is a QANTAS Club member and will get to SG for the first time early in his membership year later this year with some DSCs getting him over the line. He will be pleased to not have to pay for QANTAS Club membership for a while

Congratulations 2tall4Y!

Congratulations and commiserations. Now you've attained WP the game is on to maintain it.

Thank you Scenicbumblebee and Hvr.

And yes, my thoughts have already turned to getting 1,200 SCs after my anniversary date ticks over on 30 September. I think I should be able to managed it with the help of three trips booked during the DSC promo period :)

Some of us would be happy to take two and a half years of status bonuses and lounge access and worry about SG renewal in about 18 months...

We'll see if I can manage the DONE4 in 2017...

Happy wandering

Fred

mate I already renewed... these are into my new membership year :D

just had more DSC post last Tuesday. now well over 1000SC 2 weeks into my membership year :D

So for me, the posting of DSC has been consistent over the past 2 weeks (and with previous postings) - being applied between 1100 and 1200 AEST on Tuesdays.

last week, I had DSC applied for a flight the previous Friday (ie: 9/9 applied 13/9) then I flew 13/9 (US time) back home and DSC just posted on 20/9 at around about the same time.

Would welcome views on my current scenario and whether I will get double SCs. Read through this thread as posts made and don't recall this being covered, but apologies if it has.

I just had to cancel a booking for 2 people to Europe, J class, with several QF flights. Booked in the double SC window, for travel in December/January. I had the bookings split and my travel partner's cancelled outright with refund as she probably won't use it and we preferred getting some cash back. I will travel later so in case I still want to fly QF I had my flight converted to credit. Have been issued a voucher -- with a new booking reference. Was told I need to book and travel by 12 July to be valid.

I fear the double SCs will be lost given it's a new reference number and the 12 July date surprised me. I had thought all travel needed to be by April 2017.

Any ideas as to whether I will be able to get double SCs assuming I do fly before April? I will contact the P1 team to at least let them know and hopefully get something recorded against my booking. Last 5 days as a P1 so no harm asking!

Thanks for any advice / suggestions.

This seems to cause a few issues internally when offers get applied to credit vouchers. I cancelled a flight to HKG in January booked during the DSC offer. I opted for a credit voucher and then wanted the recent 50% bonus SC offer applied to the bookings under the voucher. It slipped my mind to even ask if the DSC offer could apply to these flights. In the end, I got a few different responses but ultimately I emailed the Qantas team who said to contact them after my flying had been done so they could ensure SCs got credited correctly (e.g. 50% bonus) and that they would honour the offer.

As such, I would be very interested in the outcome of this as my SC earn could increase by 25%.

Let us know what the P1 team advises.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

I had a similar situation when a booking for 2 pax made during the double SC promo had to be split as my partner is no longer travelling. When I called to split and cancel my partner's ticket, I specifically asked to ensure that my booking reference remained as per the original booking to be qualified for double SCs. The agent assured me that that would be the case and after the cancellation came through it became apparent he did exactly the opposite of what he promised me would happen. The original PNR was cancelled and a new PNR was issued for my name only! Thank you very much. I was unimpressed. So I called the Frequent Flyer team and told them about the experience and even suggested they could listen to the audio tape.

They came back to me the same day and confirmed that the newly issued PNR is certainly not eligible for the promo, but they have made a note on my file so I need to call up upon completion of my travel for the promo to be honoured.

Thanks both. Yes , the new reference has me assuming the worst. Have emailed P1 team - I have my doubts but will give it a go. Best suggestion I guess is to ask for a comment to be kept on file, perhaps along with any confirmation from the P1 team as 'proof'. Trouble is, when I first emailed the P1 team for advice on my scenario (to explore options) their response was simply to tell me I needed to call. Not very helpful.

Just wondering, did you end up getting the DSCs for your changed flight? Was it a complete date change?
I had a booking early September that I changed a few weeks earlier. Double SCs posted as expected.

Worked for me today though not quite double but 50% status credits. After 11 am today, flights I took four days ago had their bonus SCs applied.

Surely it's about time for QF to roll this out again... bump loads up over the quieter summer period? ;)
