QF Double Status Credits (SC) offer for all :)

All mine posted within 2 days of flights back in the 1st 2 weeks of September, 4 flights. Wishing I'd booked flights into the next membership year as all the bonuses were wasted this year having already hit wp.

Mine from recent flights have all posted within 2 to 3 days. Dropped back to WP from 1 October (although only on 4 October for the system). As of today have already requalified WP for next year, received 2 loyalty bonuses (third will come when flights yesterday post their double SCs). Domestic and trans-Tasman flights only. All courtesy of the (in my view, overly generous) double SC bonus.

Good morning.
Have not received my double status credits yet for flights taken 3 days ago.
Quick question- I did book a couple of flights with this DSC Offer, but a few of them were booked as Points + Pay (ASA as it comes up on my activity statement).
Does anyone know if these are part of the DSC offer? It mentions nothing about P+P in the terms and conditions. Wondering if anyone has received these using this option.
Thanks,
Dave

I can confirm my DSCs posted correctly for a points + pay / ASA booking - can't recall exactly how long they took, but pretty sure it was less than a week.

Thanks 2tall4Y.
Just what I wanted to hear, as it was worth 180 extra SC's.[
Cheers.

Totally generous. I earned 1760 SC in my first new membership year month thanks to this. Not complaining one iota :D

Hi All

Can anyone tell me how you get notified of the Double SC offers?
Did I just miss one?

Desperate to make use of it!
Thanks

The offer discussed in this thread was a "global offer" (as in, promoted on the QF website and available to anyone who registered) back in April.

In general though the vast majority of bonus SC offers are individually targeted by QF and arrive in one's email inbox.

Hope this helps

Yes, thanks Richard, that is helpful to know.
How do you maximise the chance of them emailing me with a Double SC offer? :)
How do they decide this? Does anyone know?
I'm a gold FF (was Platinum but lost it) and aiming for Platinum again now.
Thanks for any info you may have. You seem to be more on top of it than me!

I don't think anyone has worked out the 'science' behind when offers are made. Have a look at some of the threads talking about targeted offers (for double or maybe 50% more SCs) - might be more info there.

There really seems to be no rhyme or reason sometimes.. it's really at QF's discretion who they target offers to and why.

One would almost think a way to potentially get one might be to fly LESS with QF so their system might notice regular travel has dropped.. and to "get you back" throw a bone.. you'd think right? However very little evidence suggests that this sort of thing would even work. Sometimes it almost seems to be random or with no rhyme or reason.

It's the kind of thing that the more you want it the less likely it is to happen and often will pop up as a surprise

bottom line is there's really nothing one can do to maximise the chances of getting one, and an offer shouldn't be expected or counted on to arrive at all. If one wants status one should be prepared to fly for it in my view.. of offers come along that's sweet but not something to expect.

the global offer in April was the first in some years and a shock to most of us - a very welcome one! :D

Yep I agree you should have to fly for the status.
and the double SC's are a bonus.

just booking HNL - LAX - ORD - OMA - DFW - PHX - HNL as a status run....am in HNL for a few weeks and thought I'd sneak it in at the front end.

Do you know how you work out SC's on AA trips like this?

Thanks again for the responses.

The easiest way is to use the QF points calculator which also gives SC earn. Be aware of the earning of AA booking classes.

As reported earlier, my partner's DSCs had not posted, weeks after the relevant flights, while mine from the same flights posted within a few days.
When he contacted Qantas several weeks down the track, he was told that he would have to wait for the six week period to complete.

I had a diary note to contact on the day that the six weeks ticked over, which happened to be a Monday.
Guess when the DSCs were posted?
On the Sunday.

There go all the theories... :)
But saved me a call, at least.

Got my final sector under DSC to fly tomorrow night (ADL/BNE), so I'll be a little sad to see it end (for me) - but overall happy I was able to make use of it and they have all posted ontime for me.
