I really like the sound of it (who can resist something when beefarmer waxes lyrical about it) so I took the plunge. For reference, you can buy just six, they give you the same bottle price as a dozen and charge you the freight ($10) for a dozen. Happy with that.

I see you were not the one who said "avoid better to be had" however I was trying to keep the deal secret as when things get out like this and it's not meant to be the price everyone can miss out. I have protected mistake pricing on redemption flights I have shared with others on AFF like this.

I know wine is a personal thing so when I did my DD on the wine, actually drinking it, I posted what is a good deal.

With Dan Murphy's I know many on AFF can purchase with a cash rewards scheme and also discounted wish gift card, bringing it down to $24.15 a bottle and DM100 gives free delivery as well.

I too don't buy a lot of Cabernet in the $0-$60 range however as I enter the price I acquired for after all discounts it brings up some interesting bottles including Black Label Wolf Blass acquired as bonus bottles through Epiqure, must have drank 2 of each of the 05 and 06 so good to see I have a couple of each left. Anyone got any of that blended port you got as an Epiqure joining bonus years back? still got one left! Above $60 in Cabernet including blends I have names like Bin 707 and 169, Xanadu Stevens, Jack Mann, John Riddoch, Woodlands, Yarra Yering, Hillcrest etc.

All I did was post what was a cracker wine at a cracker price and I tell you there has been some rough ones posted by those who like to criticise.

I just notices the Seppelt Moyston has 82 points on CT, crazy!

I appreciate formites contributions, and respect individual's opinions. Please don't mistake my post as a personal assault. I have actually tasted the 2011 Teusner Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon fore-mentioned. It's on okay wine, but didn't float my boat. I like big wines and also appreciate winemaker finesse. It has big fruit but I just couldn't get past the acidity. This is not what I look for in a cool climate cabernet. I love most of Kym's wines and have quite a few in my cellar. Even at the discounted price I'm not interested in this particular offering. I believe there are many wines that represent better drinking and have better cellaring potential at this price point. Bowen Estate and Xanadu come to mind, even at RRP. That said, I've had notable wines from "lesser vintages" that have far exceeded tasting expectation. I felt I would be "going out on a limb" cellaring the Teusner when other wines of providence are available, and was trying to convey this message to others.

Those are prices on the invoices - I can't be bothered adjusting everything for WISH discounts, and cashback etc. So the actual price paid is less in some cases.

Mistakenly filed fares etc are usually kept hidden because airlines jump on them (either by monitoring these forums, or via their sales tracking systems). We don't seem to have that problem with mis-priced groceries at Woolworths or wine at Dan Murphys etc. There's no real point in "keeping it secret", even if it actually is a mistaken price.

As I mentioned in my post, you can actually get it priced at ~$27/bot in six bottle buys via their mobile site, so I'm not sure it's even a mistake. But, maybe it is.

In any case, my point was: there are heaps of good deals out there. The list I posted was just what I've bought in the last 12 months alone. And just the cabernets buys @ ~$30 or less. If I included all the other varieties, at other prices points, there would be 10x as many deals out there. So, unless someone really likes the same wine as you do, I would also hesitate to buy a South Australian 2011 at $27/bot, with poor reviews, when there are sooooooo many other safer options out there. Why gamble on something with an 89 from WF, when you can get something with 95 from WF at the same price, from a better vintage, where the wine has the backup of many reviews on CellarTracker or Vivino?

I appreciate that you've enjoyed this wine, and thanks for sharing the deal. If others (like Sedimental) who've got an opinion on whether it's a good deal or not, want to jump in, then they're allowed to - they're not attacking you - they're just giving an opinion on the wine. Which I think is in keeping with the spirit of this forum.

My OT wines arrived today very well wrapped.



At first the package didn't arrive as scheduled by AuPost. When I noticed it's going to be sent back to sender I've contacted OT directly to let them know. The lady who answered was very apologetic and said someone didn't write the address correctly so she will personally go to the post office and re-send, this time by ExpressPost, which she did and I got it the next day. Considering the discounted price payed for the wines and the free delivery included it was good customer service by OT to send it express, well done!

TBH I do not know - I bought a doz P-J at $45 bott - only purchase I have made - tempted to grab another doz at cwh's price as it is a steal at that price.

I see you've found it. Cracka... I dunno I wouldn't pay that much for a brookland cab. The industry gives them awards because brookland are a major part of the industry. They make ok wines, but 37 bucks for their reserve, I dunno. I'd sooner pay 30 for a bream creek pinot but that's just me.
