You defer to a recipe that includes a tin of soup and stock cubes?

Nothing wrong with tin of soup and stock cubes. Let him/her who has never opened a can throw the first stone.
I dont make my pasta from scratch either.
Do you eat bread out of a bag and drink milk out of a bottle (either directly or via a cup).

Also meat comes in a polystyrene tray.

Generally it comes from my fridge or cupboard or airline lounge. How it gets there has long been an area into which I don't enquire.

My wife sometimes berates me that food does not just appears on a plate. So now I do the shopping on way home from work
I do remind her from time to time that money does not just appear in the credit card.

I've become used to my cooking and my wife also loves my cooking. Leaves her time to keep the house in order which I hate doing.

Not complaining - but it stuns me too that most of the 'special' items in the lounges are really fiddly and messy foods to eat - tacos, hot dogs, pulled-pork open buns, chicken wings etc. I guess easy and quick to make in fairly large quantities, but not good for keeping the lounges or their guests tidy.

People trying to make a sandwich and toast it.........easy for lounges to put out as cheap and make the punters do it themselves.

Melbourne International Qantas Business had the following slop hot option available to its highly valued customers: Lamb Stew, Ohh please qantas catering you can do better than this, it looks and tasted horrible, had to leave the lounge to get something to eat. Lamb stew is disgusting and there was no other hot food option.

The Emirates J lounge in both Sydney and Melbourne are far superior to the Qantas J lounge in terms of food and champagne. In the Qantas lounge you get sparkling wine left open to go flat were as in the Emirates lounge you get real Champagne with a stopper to avoid losing the bubbles. the Emirates lounge has some lovely food choices.

Arrived at the lounge today and what a surprise - S$it lamb again. Qantas lounge food at the Mel International Bus lgn sucks. No other meat choices just this cough that stinks. Who is the idiot that decides what should be served up I want to send that pain in the A a personal complaint. And for all those people that flame me and give their opinion on wanting lamb on the menu, don't bother because I don't care what you want all I am asking for is an alternative to this S$it they call food.

What was the response when you sent feed back to QF?

Lamb stew is fine, as is beef or chiecken.

Again, what was the response when you sent feedback to QF?

When ever I have given feed back or made a complain I get a reply within 2 days.

As I generally don't drink the stuff I don't note if they use a stopper or not use a stopper.

Please feel free to continue to use the Emirates lounge where they use a stopper in the bottle.

I personally really like lamb stew now. But I am so over the chicken wings + sweet chilli sauce combo that is foistered on the world in every place.

It must be so much fun being the "idiot" who has to make choices for all of us
