Bhutan Extends USD 100 Sustainable Development Fee Through 2029

Bhutan has extended the USD 100 nightly Sustainable Development Fee for international tourists through 31 December 2029.

Bhutan has officially extended its USD 100 nightly Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for international tourists from August 2027 to 31 December 2029. It was going to rise back to $200, so perhaps they didn't see as much of an increase in tourism to make it too busy and felt $200 would make it too high and reduce tourism.
