Classic awards on EK booking into revenue fare!? (O Bucket).... Possibly.

Just noticed the QF is now showing "O" bucket availability on EK flights in classic award booking engine. (I have only checked DXB-CDG in December) But i am guessing that it could be system wide?

Just called the call centre and they can't see the availability. If anyone is thinking of booking soon then have a look and you might find something.

O bucket is a revenue fare so if the website lets you to complete the booking and it gets ticketed? Then you might end up earning points!?

Anyway. Have a look and let us know if your successful booking?

Thought it was worth sharing as it probably won't stay in the system long... I was hoping to change one of my flights over the phone but had no luck.

Sorry to bring bad news. But that is EK O which isn't an earning fare class. My EK award flight from a couple of weeks ago was a D fare. That might earn on QF, but it doesn't earn with EK.

That is correct. But interestingly, the Qantas website says that O is in the Business class earning category on EK marketed flights.
