I have not been so fast, but I will mention it tomorrow to my VM person. I only have 7 bottles remaining after flogging off 3 and having two in the last few days. For dinner last night, this was the starter. I have had very few grigios in my life but this one is very good. Once it warmed up a little, it showed lovely fruit character. Furthermore, it has a very good medium to full flavour. Not this at all ! So good that I would even keep a few, but I am yet to work out how many and how I will put it to them. Bottom line, it was their mistake so they would easily pick up those remaining 7. Ideally I would have liked the prosecco in the first place, but I will report if something good comes out of this. In my few experiences with VM issues, the service has been outstanding.
I must add that wine number two last night was a Danny M's Chardonnay and that was alright. But number three was the 2013 3Oceans explorers chardonnay. You know the one, the little sister of the remarkable 2012. This was my second bottle and this time, no sinking at the end palate. Seamless quality from go to wo. It is a standout wine with a lot of finesse, restrained French oak, slight old school butteriness but not too much, just a delight, incredibly Moorish. That makes it two very high quality explorer wines with the shiraz and chardonnay. I believe I will be getting the cabernet in the next couple of days.
