Qantas Wine latest offering

For the price paid, it was okay - but not a better wine IMO than the wolf Blass Black Label (perhaps an unfair comparison). Think it needs more shelf time (as the RSW was a 2011)

I would generally stay away from the 2011s, a very poor vintage. the 2010 and 2012 on the other hand, quite exceptional

Probably why Epiqure were handing out 10K points for purchasing a case of 6 back in November ;). I gave most away to clients but kept 1 to drink.

Cheers - fingers crossed for the 2012. I'll try to avoid temptation and leave them alone for a few years. Was the Wolf Blass the one that was part of a bonus bottle offer sometime ago? (We've had one of our three that we got at the time and it was excellent)

I haven't tasted either of the straight Shiraz's. But I'm like you, taking a rest as both my QFF points balance and space under my desk are replete.

Did anyone head to any of the Sips and Sliders events over the past week? What was your experience? We gave the Adelaide one a miss due to the poor location, but would be interested to find out how it went (and if there are any corresponding discount codes still in circulation ;))

We did in MEL and weren't particularly impressed with the way it was run.

Just don't expect too much food. Dismal offerings in melbourne.

By the sounds of things I didn't miss anything by not going to the ADL event.

Me neither. I did send them some feedback about the frightful location of the Adelaide event (main arterial road in a non fashionable industrial area with no public transport around). Sounds like they could do with some feedback about the actual execution of the event also. It's quite disappointing, particularly given that smaller cities like Adelaide only usually get 1 - 2 events per year.

If the event was in the CBD, I can think of 6 people who would have attend more likely than not.
