Qantas Wine latest offering

Me neither. I did send them some feedback about the frightful location of the Adelaide event (main arterial road in a non fashionable industrial area with no public transport around). Sounds like they could do with some feedback about the actual execution of the event also. It's quite disappointing, particularly given that smaller cities like Adelaide only usually get 1 - 2 events per year.

There has been feedback sent (not by me)

Did anyone head to any of the Sips and Sliders events over the past week? What was your experience? We gave the Adelaide one a miss due to the poor location, but would be interested to find out how it went (and if there are any corresponding discount codes still in circulation ;))

Skipped the Perth one for the same reason. I don't think they put too much thought into this event.

What was the adelaide location? I didn't look as Sydney was my only option, but that clashed with quiz night, I think.

Brisbane sips and sliders event. tonight. interesting venue - Lightspace in the valley near Emporium Hotel, behind the audi workshop. Large crowd. very little food - couple of very nice sliders but then chips and sauce/ aolai - how very embarrassing given the standard of wines - created a very down market image. Nice Reidel glass to keep. Gin and tonic on entry. Good sized pour of the Tattinger courtesy of the local Qantas crew. Penfolds and Wolf Blass good range. interestingly the best we found were the 2 independent distillers - four pillars(gin) from Victoria and Hippocampus (vodka) from perth.

Didn't even see chips down here in MEL, and thought the sliders were decidedly average.

I did really like the Four Pillars though and am looking forward to when their cellar door is open in the Yarra Valley

it was an interesting stand - they had all the 'botanicals' that go into making the gin - never expected lemon myrtle!!!

Definitely no chips in melbourne. Glad it wasn't just our event that was lacking on food...

agree the the gin was amazing but certainly has a price tag to match.

I'm still not receiving any epiqure emails - really odd. Sounds like it's a widespread problem and it must be costing them a bit in reduced revenue!

Punt Road makes some great Chardonnay. Epicure's price is $12 higher then DM's per case but the bonus points makes their offer very attractive.
