Received this email. Haven't investigated too much to see if it's legit as I don't log in to SPG very often. Anyone else receive? Might explain the recent delayed times for SPG transfers if they are being cautious.

There are a few recent reports of SPG accounts hacked over on FT.
Seeing they haven't given you a link to follow probably genuine. The number given is a Singapore number and on SPG.com the customer service numbers all start with 65-6836-7.
I guess the fraud dept would be a different number.

PS you could go to FT and PM one of the lurkers to be sure.

Cheers. I felt it was legit...but you never know.

I think the hacker would have been disappointed to see my SPG points balance.

SPG, AA and other programs have been the subject of large scale hacks. These have mainly been a result of individuals using the same passwords across sites.

Whenever you get an email like this, it's worth ignoring the contact details and calling the general number, so just call SPG.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
