Qantas removes Apple iMacs from all Sydney lounges

I've seen these devices from time to time, but never had cause to use one. Always have my trusty Ultrabook along for the ride if I need to do some serious work.

The SYD j lounge at t3 had six or seven in a cramped row along the south side of the central block - all those at the separated work desks had been removed.

When one needs to spend an hour or two with prepartuity work etc. , cramped long bench areas don't cut it, let alone iToys ...

I will be submitting negative feed back.

That's what I told them when they offered me an iPad. I already have an iPhone and these toys are ok for browsing and checking emails but not for serious work. Maybe they can offer MacBook Air instead.

Have they put them back at the row of individual workstations?

They have always been there. I am referring to the individual workstations along the wall. After you enter the business lounge turn right and then right again.

There are no computers along the side wall. There are just individual work stations with a network cable. Cheers

All of those individual workstations had an iMac as well as a printer.

Same sort of setup in Qantas lounge and now iMacs removed.

In BNE they removed the 4 individual workstations and replaced with about 10 seats.

What was done in BNE make some sense as they cleared the individual workstations and created much needed seating space but in SYD they just cleared the computers and left the individual workstations. Now there are only 5 computers left which is not enough for a lounge the size of SYD. Even in BNE there are 6 computers now*.
* 4 of them didn't work this morning but that's another story.
