Re: Qantas Platinum One now includes free 'Partner Platinum' status
But for some people giving WP to their spouses is a great benefit - and hence the language is not patronising to them. My point is that whether these benefits are valuable or not will be individual, and hence not considered gratuitous by all. If the threads on this forum are anything to go by, many people spend a great deal of time and effort trying to attain WP - being able to gift it to a long suffering spouse is lovely. This announcement made me feel understood by QF. They already upgrade me about once a month, I always sit in the seat that I wish to, and now I can share my QF experience with family who put up with my continual absence.
I did not infer in my comments that spouses of P1 are stay at home WAGS - what I did indicate was that most of the enhancements are very minimal and QF uses spin in their marketing to FF's that is often gratuitous and patronising. Its great you get Platinum membership for your spouse - with all its benefits. My comments are about the marketing language of QF.
