Well the bread and butter I ended up eating was 'pleasant'.

Correct. Nor had they loaded one for a pax on the previous flight (SYD-HBA).

Not sure if con carne has a lot of fibre in it, although it is likely to have a similar effect.

There was no service recovery, apart from an apology.

I will be writing to QF today, and although I will not be asking for anything, it will be interesting to see if anything is offered.

On the flight itself I was offered yoghurt, which I declined as I found it too tart when I had some for breakfast. At my prompting I had some slices of bread and butter. The FA also found a small chicken toasted sandwich.

I was quite hungry as I had only had yoghurt and fruit on the previous flight (7am) so was looking forward to a substantial meal.
