Barossa Valley Premium Wine Tasting and Lunch

We've booked a refundable room at the Crowne Plaza for now.

Looking forward to meeting you blackcat :p

As we are a definite for the footy the walk over the bridge is just too tempting and easy. Then just downstairs in the morning to the Convention centre.

We'll leave the car at home and roll into a taxi on Sunday evening.

Going to be fun. :p

Sorry QFWP - I understand no reciprocal rights.

MrP and I are stadium members (for AFL) and Cricket Members (for cricket). I'll check to see if I can get extra tickets for the Western stands (that's the SACA stand in summer).

Very confusing I know.

Have booked flights over on the Saturday on VA arriving in ADL @ 10.25am . Still working out what i am going to do for the return on Sunday .... Id prefer to come back on VA , but think the 18.25 departure is going to be cutting it to fine , after that , it is QF @ 18.45. Buzzard , Is the bus dropping us back to the Convention Centre ???

I've just booked too (including grange tasting).

Yet to book flights but I'll be staying at the Hilton sat and sun nights.

The Hilton is a 15-20 minute walk from the Convention Centre, or a 5 min ride on the free tram.

The Crowne Plaza is a 10 minute walk from the Convention Centre, no tram.

There are several hotels on North Terrace in the vicinity of the Convention Centre, including the Intercontinental, Stamford Plaza, the Sebel Playford, the Mercure Grosvenor, Oaks Horizons, Oaks Embassy Apartments and Comfort Hotel Adelaide Riviera. Also nearby is the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hindley St.

Hope that helps the non residents :)

Correct, the bus will drop off at the Convention Centre which means taxis are right there.

For anybody contemplating this event there are now only 5 places left.

I will update the attendance list shortly..... just taking SWMBO to Coles Firle for the grocery shop less 5% discount

WOW - This is popular...

While the event sounds great, the date (and my health) may be troublesome for me.

To ensure I have a place, I have booked and paid for a "premium" ticket at this stage, which may be released at a later stage.

Also booked Hilton on the GO rate for $230... no AAA rooms available, and public rate was north of $400

Ok, so definite interest in the football. Will keep an eye on tickets as they appear to go on sale to the public 15 July.

I think every game so far this year at Adelaide Oval has been a sell out, and Port v Sydney is normally very popular so I would make sure you get in quick when the tickets go on sale.

Just booked for 2 including grange. Will sort out flights and hotel later.

Very considerate of you Anna putting up this post. I should have thought of doing that

Flights now booked
VA 422 outbound Sat
VA 413 return Mon
:)

Not sure how you get to the airport from Happy Sheep, but wouldn't it be funny if you use a certain hire car company in Newcastle part owned by one of my two closest friends (Gravel) whose SWMBO is from Glasgow.
