Points sweep to your QFF account at the end of the billing cycle.

Indeed. If planning to dump the card, watch out for the QFF fee ($49) that won't hit your account til end of month.

80,009 points now in QFF account. Card cancelled.

Feeling ripped off for overspending that extra $8. Should've sought annual membership refund before cancelling

Cards activated and purchase made. Just got to wait for those points to appear now! :)

After the usual round of phone calls to try and verify the 80,000 offer before activating (they struggle to understand), card is activated. Been told to wait about 4 days for the link to QFF to happen then I'll make the spend. I've stopped trying to get a fee refund on churns these days, I think fair's fair and $300 for 80,000 points is a good deal. Now just need to work out how to actually snag an award flight !

Seems to be a lot of negativity towards it here.
Aside from the hassles of getting it I think the Citi Signature is a very good card (good earn rate, good perks) but each to their own! Not sure I will keep past its one year anniversary though or at least angle for a fee chop.

ROFL, Citibank offered to waive the annual fee ($299) effective within two business days after my $9 spend. Lucky I kept the card... gonna go do $300 worth of damage at Dan Murphy's, pay off balance and cancel the card AGAIN. Made my day :)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did they verbally offer that to you? Or did they change their promo to waive the annual fee?

Verbal offer after requesting to cancel. I made sure I got the 'Relations Officer's' extension and an identified for the call - don't trust the banks, especially the likes of cough1bank.

If my card ever gets approved I'm planning the exact same thing. Taken 6 weeks so far to get an answer. I want the 80k points but do not want the card at all!!!

Dont you want to wait until you get the points?

I got an approved email a few days ago too. Wasn't too hard in the end.

I'm assuming they didn't try to call payroll as I gave them my works generic call centre number.

They did ask me to send them the leases for my rental properties however. Wasn't too big a deal.

Yeh, will wait till points have come through before canceling but will only spend $5 on it to get the 80,000 points

It took two days for them to approve my application. I received my card in the mail two days after it was approved but not the pin. Does anyone know if Citibank automatically sends out a separate letter with the pin?

YES I too signed in with iOS7 - QFF no. had extra 3 zeros in front of my number - first name / surname names reversed - but I was able to edit all fields and confirm - go figure.
And still it continues... It would seem that the fields for first name and last name do not correspond when comparing the mobile app with Citibank systems. My Rewards sweep to Qantas failed because my name didn't match. I only found out because on the mobile app, you can go into Redemption Activities and the Summary Details showed two redemptions on 5 Apr 2014 had a status of "Rejected". When I called Citibank, they said there was a problem and they would reprocess it and when I asked if it was because my first and last names were swapped around, she giggled and said yes. After she fixed it, I checked the app again and the first and last names were swapped around.

In short, don't assume anything.

This mob goes from worser to worserer - my first billing cycle finished Apr 7 - I see online zero pts but also zero pts transferred into QFF - no biggie me tinks - it'll take a day or so to appear.

Next thing I get a call from Sh*tibank - excuse me Mr Elite - the transfer of your QFF pts rejected by Qantas - can we check your name as it appears on your QFF card - no problem - it is Mr C J Elite - oh ok - I see now where our problem is - in our system we have you as C J Elite with no Mr - I will update that right now and pts will sweep at end of next billing cycle!

WTF - these clowns set it all up after I apply online - pts transfer rejected because no Mr - I suffer - spoke to Supervisor - no joy - send of email to Citigold RM and lets see if she can get any satisfaction.

I really want the pts into QFF acc ASAP so I can cancel as per GM.

Really is bizarre. As I posted upthread, I could see online that my first and surnames were reversed on their website and was concerned that my points would not transfer correctly to QF, however mine went through without a hitch. Dumb luck I guess!

What A Joke these guys are just rang to set up transfer of points and bonus points to QF to discover that they have actually allocated me a Platinum card and NOT a Signature card and as such I am not entitled to nor will I get any QF FF Points ever with this card. NOT HAPPY Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Re: Citibank Signature 80k QFF signup bonus $299+$49, ends 31/03/14 [Extended - 30/04

My card turned up in the mail Friday, and expect the PIN to be arriving soon. Rang today to add QFF, and confirmed that the 80,000 points would credit after the first purchase. No trouble so far. Touch wood.

Ansett, this happened to me as well. I refused to activate it and told them I didn't want it if they couldn't give me the signature with fixed fee and 80k points. Eventually they have come back to me and told me they will upgrade me to the signature after increasing my limit and give me all benefits. It will take a week to happen but looks like it's coming through. So if you haven't activated yet - of even if you have - fight them on it as you might get the signature in the end with all the benefits. Then cancel!!
