I will be arriving 17:50, leaving 23:30. I will be back in HKG for 3 days at the end of the month and I've been many times before so I have no real inclination to head into town for only 2 hours or so after Customs/transport etc. I would get an AA pass if I was flying Qantas but I'm not. I've been through HKG many times but usually just lounge hopping - any recommendations excluding lounges? Thanks.

Buy lounge access? 5 hours for USD $73.50? (or USD $14.70/hour) Passenger Guide - Departures - All - Pay-in Lounges - Hong Kong International Airport

Lounge Use is a must when travelling, especially if comfort and convenience is a priority. The new lounge is located near Gate 40 and designed in the 5th generation design, and not only can you enjoy food and beverages, you can stay connected with our Wi-fi enabled internet workstations, TV channels, shower facilities, international newspapers and magazines. For those who want to freshen up, our power showers are ready to save the day.

I have 4 hours to kill on Thursday this week, was going to do the immigration thing for kicks and stamp in the passport.

Pending no invitations to a lounge, I guess the bar sounds like a good idea. Might get wired on coffee.

visit the new plaza premium lounge which has just opened https://www.plaza-network.com/location_detail?city=Hong+Kong

There's a few good airside restaurants so i'd plonk there and watch the world go by, have some Yum Cha, a few beers etc.

"No more stamps for you" (said in the voice of the Soup naz_)
Well may be you need to ask ... but on my last few = zero stamps

Ah yes I think HK have stopped 'stamping' passports, I was there a few months ago and got a small piece of paper stapled into my passport, which was removed when I left. So unless lining up is your thing, probably not worth it.

Bugger, there goes that plan.

Another questions re transit in Hong Kong....we are landing at 6am from LAX then flying through to Perth later at 3pm....will anything be open in the morning for us to leave the airport for a few hours? 4 adults and 2 kids (3 & 1 year old)...we have business from lax - Hong Kong then only 2 of us are in business to perth....will we all get into a lounge up there since we have arrived there after flying business?

So I am here killing my 4 hours, flight out of China delayed so that killed a bit of time, plus sat in A321 until everyone got off and was last PAX off which killed some time, but surprisingly was not on remote stand.

Went walking to see if one can get to T2 from T1, only can do by going through immigration so flagged that idea.

So went back to the Plaza Premium Lounge and are here now on a 2 hour, 400 HKD offer, but I notice a number of people priority pass card themselves in.
