Qantas has today announced from Aug 2015 there will be four flights a week featuring the A330 between BNE and NRT

Looks like a good week for Qantas, back to profit and introducing new routes.
Well done!

Will MEL or PER get the second QF Narita service?

My money is on MEL, with possibly JQ operating on alternative days perhaps.

I wonder if JQ will maintain the Service to OOL?

Great to see HND coming to SYD after all which should give QF a bump in sales for business travellers

Am I reading this right... The SYD-HND flight is almost no change to the current NRT times (northbound flight ~ -1 hour to current, southbound ~ +1 hour). Still overnight each direction, still using 2 aircraft, still sitting at TYO all day.

Good news, always wondered about the lack of flights to Japan from BNE.

Scott.

Very good news, Haneda is 5 mins by train from my usual hotel as opposed to 45 from NRT. Glad they are keeping the 747 :)

Though you might have a wait for the train. The Keikyu line starts service at 0730 weekdays and 0900 on weekdays. The monorail starts at 0900 every day-
Trains and Monorails | Haneda Airport International Terminal

On the weekend if catching a flight back to SYD there will be a wait before checkin if you want to go by train with both services finishing at 1700.
B us services are nowhere as good as those from NRT.With us staying at the Sheraton or Westin just 2 services a day so on the 2 occasions we have arrived at HND it had to be a taxi.

You're confusing the hours the phone lines are open with the rail service...

Trains run from a little after 5AM until midnight or so on both lines.

Sorry I have.Seems though they now start earlier. Was one of the reasons we never used the AA JFK-HND services as the timings meant the public transport was non existent.

There is loads of airport limousine buses going all over the place very frequently. I always use them to shinjuku
