First Post after Lurking :)

BNE-LAX-SFO-ORD-DTW-ORD-LAX-BNE starting Mon 26 Aug

Doing AA plat challenge, will qualify on ORD-LAX segment (my qalculations)

Currently 120Miles off AA Gold thanks to earlier flights this year so should get AA Gold once I reach LAX and get the qualifiication bonus on that flight (fingers crossed)

Earlier this year:
BNE-SYD-ICN-CJU-ICN-SYD-BNE (Yay for earning AA points on *Alliance asiana airlines)
BNE-NRT-CDG-NRT-BNE

As well as various domestic hops

Unfortunately my employer (a university) has a whY policy for us underlings. I'm involved in ISO/Standards Australia work so get at least 4 international trips a year to ISO meetings. Will begin to investigate the possibility of DONE4's for MR on the furtherest meeting location (Washington, London, New York, etc)

No flying for me in August. A quick check thru my history shows I've never taken a flight in August since joining QFF (also the first month of a new qualifying period).

A quick trip to Germany (including the QF codeshare train) will get the ball rolling in Sptember.

I decided to do an opportunity cost analysis (there must be a latent acountant trying to get out), and see what AA EQP's I have forgone by choosing to post to QF. For the calendar YTD, I could have earned 103,101 EQP's which would have qualified for EXP.

I am going to have to think long and hard about this - I thought I would struggle to make EXP, but it seems for my flying patterns that achieving WP PG roughly gets me EXP. I am strongly considering jumping ship.
