Interesting, I managed by various means to travel 100% in J so far. Will not continue, although it is tempting when checking in at the kiosk to accept the kind offer to upgrade on the trip home from Melbourne!

First time I've thrown my details out there I think.

Busy start to the year by my standards.
Have begun to use EK J more for transtasman flights (10 sectors so far this year) and will hopefully get EK Gold this year aswell as WP. The chauffer drive service EK offer is both a cost and hassle I don't have to worry about. EK J (SYD-AKL-SYD) is usually $1300ish. QF is closer to that each way (and I still don't get picked up and dropped off).

Finally had some flying in 2008.

Strangely, this was the first time I've flown in Y for about 2 years due to a combination of good fortune, and personal choice. My impression - and it may have indeed been good luck - was that the quality of service etc. in Y has improved significantly in that time.

Not enough to make a habit of it, however!!
