Have to disagree. Miss G (3.5 now) first flew SYD -BNE at 5 weeks, to ADL at 9 weeks, to LHR -GLA at 5 months, Rome at 6 months, LHR - GLA again at 9 months, Fiji at 12 months, JNB / Capetown at 16 months and many more.
A few of those flights were tough going sure, but the majority actually were good fun.
And without those flights I wouldn't have wandered around Rome on my own with a baby at 7.00 am (kicked out so Mrs G could sleep), or come across herd of 100 elephants in South Africa with my daughter in a baby seat in the jeep - experiences I'll treasure for ever.
This is amazingly true!
It had me up at 0530 wandering around Chiang Mai's old city multiple times, 11 month in the carrier soaking up the ambience together.
My experience has been the total opposite of fersea. My daughter has always enjoyed flying, clapping and giggling during takeoff roll from 10 months on. Mum, bub and I normally have a blast onboard and surrounding pax, Normally a little hesitant at the start of a long flight are giving us smiles by the end of the flight.
It can be hard work on occasion but is well and truly worth it. Maybe we'll share a flight sometime soon and we can change your mind!
