The whole reason she brought it to you in a plastic cup was so you didn't have to rush drinking it. They don't want you holding onto glasses during landing but plastic is fine.
I can't recall having been allowed to have any service item with me while landing, except when they forget to collect. Per my OP, the plastic cup at that stage was fine, but as I expected, it was collected when the seat belt sign came on, about 5 minutes later. I knew that would happen, and she knew that would happen, yet she served me a plastic cup filled to the brim with wine. There was no way this was going to be emptied, except by 'skulling' the wine (or spilled during the bumps on descent). That's what pissed me off. All I asked for was a 'top up' - from the small amount that was left in my glass, to a normal serve.
I'm prepared to be charitable with the offer of the bottle if its not an uncommon occurrence but I'm quite certain the full-cup thing was her making a point. Don't bug me when I'm clearing away the cabin.
A totally out-of-usual-experience for me in QF J. I guess anyone can have a bad day (including me )
