Yes, been keeping a lazy eye on ex-NRT fares. I think around the time I first asked the DONE4 fare equated to about 7K, then blew out to around 8.5 - 9K, and has recently been heading South again - now around 7.4K, so still a good alternative. NZ is around 9K (though obviously much closer to home, hence easier to get to, and a closer starting point to SAM if that's where I want go first)...decisions! (sigh)
