Quick question! It's all in the title I guess - I'd love your feedback!

How long is the flight?
If not domestic then I would do so without a second's thought.
If domestic then I would probably do it anyway.
I wouldn't. But then I'm yet to experience qantas international business. For me points and status earn is the same and the star class seat is better than a Y seat.
SYD-HNL is on old QF business class - the dreamtime seat which is not much different to starclass.
QF will be a seat pitch of 50in in a 1-2-2 seating arrangement
JQ will be a seat pitch of 38in in a 2-3-2 seating arrangement
So there are lots of considerations:
Travelling alone - I would switch to QF. Travelling with a partner I would switch to QF. Travelling with a child or 2 I would stick to JQ (1 child you could seat between you in the set of three seats, two children would go over 2 rows and 40K points is a lot). Travelling with 3 or more kids - I would stay at home
I'm not after status points etc.. and the seat change will be from starclass to business - not economy?
Or did you mean business? Are the starclass seats better than QF business class seats?
Out of interest is this an award you are thinking of booking? And the 10K is the difference in points between JQ and QF?
I have never heard of this option to switch before.
QF's safety record has not been great lately so sticking with J* may be the safer option.
The Dreamtime seats are far better than the Leather covered Millennium seats, especially if one is contemplating sleep!SYD-HNL is on old QF business class - the dreamtime seat which is not much different to starclass.
...
You are saying that tongue in cheek aren't you :?:QF's safety record has not been great lately so sticking with J* may be the safer option.
It that a cancellation and rebooking fee of 2 x 5K?Yeah it's an award booking we are looking to change.. there is a QF flight around the same time we have already booked (which happened to be carried by JQ) So it's really just an alteration of an exisiting award booking.
You are saying that tongue in cheek aren't you :?:
How are you getting to CDG flying on QF given they have no flights there?
Mind you - flying to CDG you are taking your life in your hands.
