Anyone flown Premium to Nadi ? Is it worth it. Do you get lounge access and whats the seat like? Never flown premium domestically with Virgin and appreciate its not their business class product.

Thanks

i do it often with the family, however i would only do it on points + pay.
Seats are stock standard, no special food (at least last time in late jan), old planes..
No lounge access on either end.. (short haul pacific does not give access to lounges)..
Even having top status with them, gets nothing..

Priority checkin and sitting front of plane with free food.. (is about it..)

I would probably fly QF codeshare for the same $$$

QF codeshare puts you on Air Pacific Business. Done that a few times. (will never do again).
Planes are worse then VA, Babies are placed right behind business and small families. The service is shocking on Air Pacific.
Lounges at Fiji end is a few couches and no food but you can have a drink.

I suppose it's personal preference, the reason for VA was purely the plane trip over normally premium up the front is pretty empty so it's quiet and the food and service is pretty good.

Back to the old days, Virgin Australia flew a 777 from Syd to Nadi and that was excellent.. Great seat/service definately worth it. (until the stopped it :)...

Thanks
I'm thinking of buying a flex fare $50 more than saver and upgrading using the half price points offer. me thinks it might be worth it.

Keep in mind that things have changed a little bit since you flew, there is a new lounge at NAN, for the same money its comparable with the added benefit of lounge access both ends.

Correct.

The lounge in Nadi is now quite acceptable. I have not done the legs on FJ in Y as yet but will find out in a few hours.
