Hmmm.
In a similar vein had a flight a couple days ago HKG-BKK. Passenger immediately beside me across the aisle reclined their seat immediately on boarding, took their shoes off and put their feet in the magazine holder! (this wasn’t a bulkhead!)
Passenger continuously made demands during boarding of a full flight… wanted water and snacks. Took an extended toilet break as well.
During final checks as we were taxiing, demanded a blanket be brought to them.
At that stage crew asked them to put their seat upright, which they did. Until the crew member walked away.
Passenger looked at me and put their finger on the recline button and was about to push back, until I waggled my finger.
Seat reclined, of course, immediately wheels left the ground. Feet back in magazine pouch. Demands made before, during and after meal service for additional drinks, including just before landing during final cabin checks.
Extended toilet breaks with seat left in reclined position.
On arrival at the gate this passenger was at the front of the economy cabin before anyone else… quite some achievement given we were 7 rows from the bulkhead!!
Not sure I commend the crew for pandering to the passenger during final cabin checks. Otherwise I got the impression the crew were resigned to this type of behaviour. Sad.
I think in my case the only thing that saved the pax was the fact we were on a subsidiary with more junior crew.
I doubt he would have fared well with an AA veteran of 20+ years.
