Worse than feet on bulkheads

Hmmm.

In a similar vein had a flight a couple days ago HKG-BKK. Passenger immediately beside me across the aisle reclined their seat immediately on boarding, took their shoes off and put their feet in the magazine holder! (this wasn’t a bulkhead!)

Passenger continuously made demands during boarding of a full flight… wanted water and snacks. Took an extended toilet break as well.

During final checks as we were taxiing, demanded a blanket be brought to them.

At that stage crew asked them to put their seat upright, which they did. Until the crew member walked away.

Passenger looked at me and put their finger on the recline button and was about to push back, until I waggled my finger.

Seat reclined, of course, immediately wheels left the ground. Feet back in magazine pouch. Demands made before, during and after meal service for additional drinks, including just before landing during final cabin checks.

Extended toilet breaks with seat left in reclined position.

On arrival at the gate this passenger was at the front of the economy cabin before anyone else… quite some achievement given we were 7 rows from the bulkhead!!

Not sure I commend the crew for pandering to the passenger during final cabin checks. Otherwise I got the impression the crew were resigned to this type of behaviour. Sad.

I think in my case the only thing that saved the pax was the fact we were on a subsidiary with more junior crew.

I doubt he would have fared well with an AA veteran of 20+ years.

Last night just as our SQ A380 was literally flying over between Lewisham and Tempe someone ducked into the toilet. The FA sitting right around the corner knocked on the door from her jump seat and a minute or so later the person emerged quickly and sat down with about 15 seconds left before the wheels touched down.
It reminded me of my elderly mother about ten years ago on a regional flight, we were on final approach over Botany Bay and she was "busting" so decided to take off her belt and get moving. She was seated across the aisle from me and I had to call her out and the FA also called out which stopped her. The FA did clear a quick path for her on landing though.

On our last SQ flight into BNE a fellow did the toilet trick. crew must not have been paying attention as he emerged from said toilet as soon as seat belt sign went off at the terminal. Only had a small bag so was first off the plane. Saw that once before in China on old CAAC trip.
