The Guinness World Record-holding coin was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Australian Kangaroo Gold Coin program.

Made up of 99.99 per cent pure gold, the coin tips the scales at one tonne and is 80cm in diameter and more than 12cm deep.

The coin was designed by goldsmith Stuart Devlin and features the Queen's head on one side and a red kangaroo on the other.

Now I wonder if the red roo could carry this giant red roo coin as it goes on its world tour?

Now that's one big coin, that would weigh a plane down a bit.

As it has legal tender I wonder if a casino would exchange it for gambling chips?

I joined a guided tour at the Perth mint and saw this coin there. Very impressive!

I find it nuts that it's legal tender is only $1 million if the gold is worth closer to $50 million. I get the market can rise and fall, but it seems a fraction of its true value.
