Been to two obvious suspects ... the rest are a total mystery.

I never considered Denver to be strange. I mean, apart from being able to buy a packet mix of beer cheese soup there.

Been to a few, I would also add Leh and Lukla airports. My next trip to Japan will have to be via Osaka during daylight hours.

Is it Mt Hagen or Porgera airport in PNG highlands where the airstrip ends at a cliff drop and departing aircraft need to pick up a bit of speed after going over the edge to become airborne, or should I say get climbing?

I'd count that as strange.

Hmm let me think! That sounds like most of the airstrips in the highlands in PNG!

Porgera is sometimes referred to as the ski-jump.

Interesting list. I have only done two of them - Toncontin in Honduras is a very exciting experience - Denver is not :)

ZQN or WLG didn't make the list?

Still some beautiful airports on the list. Have visited 2 of these airports.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Isnt it Denver airport that has the conspiracy theorists all in a tizz. Something about all the Masonic imagery, the keystone that has a corporation name that doesn't exist (New World Order or something like that) and they removed so much soil from the site that apparently there are military underground bunkers??

Or so the people with the tin foil hats say.

Would love to visit Gibraltar & Princess Juliana!

Been to Don Mueang, but never played the golf course. Probably a good think as I tend to shank the ball a lot. Would have taken out a 747. Remember once spending a day there on a school trip, waiting for a flight North, and walking the length, and it just went on forever and ever! Was like walking from QF to VA end in BNE Domestic.

We recommended that they build an additional taxiway in the middle, from side to side, and they said ‘absolutely not, that will take out a green and one fairway.

Regarding the Ice Runway, my neighbours son is the chief pilot for Air NZ's 767's and was supposed to fly to the ice runway last season, but it was too warm and they could never land, shame! Would have been amazing. But quite a few friends from my Ski Patrol course have been there. Considering Svalbard is built on permafrost and Madeira on a girder bridge/piles, you wonder why this can't be done down South?

Never landed at Macau, always taken the ferry!

Here's Porgera. Hard to see the ski jump, but just visualise.........(1200m 5.5% avg slope, ski jump take off)
