Apple GCs are only on offer every 6 or 7 weeks this year. So next time should be either 27 Aug or 3 Sept. This is one of the last good deals for Woolies since they aren't giving the variable gift cards anymore.

This will sound like a silly question - can these gift cards be used to purchase actual iPhones or only on-phone and in-app purchases?
I've always used Android phones and am thinking of purchasing an iPhone and if I could use these cards, I'd obviously increase the number of points earnt. Is this one of the better deals?

I now need to look at the different models to see what would suit me best (I don't want to derail this thread, so I won't go into detail).

Yes, they can be used to purchase physical hardware - iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Macs, accessories. Basically, if you can buy it from the Apple Store, you can use these gift cards for it.

Yes can be a great earner for points if buying something substantial.

I also had a Woolworths error in my favour when the gift card processing sale system was down preventing the cards themselves activating. I was charged for the cards and then refunded, but kept the WW/QF points. Was tempted to do that a few dozen times but thought I might push my luck.

Often, it can work to try to buy these cards a few weeks out of the annual iPhone update / release.

To use these to shop with Luxury Escapes, do you need to convert them to LE gift cards first? If so, I'd be looking to get 5 x $100 Ultimate cards and then covert, will LE escapes let you use multiple Ultimate cards to purchase their own cards (or indeed, to purchase a package directly with them)?

You just swap each Ultimate gift card for a Luxury Escapes digital gift card via the Ultimate Exchange website. I don't believe there's any limit on the number of gift cards you can redeem at Luxury Escapes but in June they added the following to their terms and conditions:

The maximum redemption value for Gift Cards not purchased directly through the Website is limited to $1,500 per order

I'm not sure if there's a way around this but that seems to suggest that you're limited to $1,500 worth of gift cards per booking unless your gift cards were purchased directly from Luxury Escapes.
