Do we know if they're sophisticated enough to actually only apply it to new bookings? I have a heap in place booked just last week. I think in the past they seem to have come through on the more generous side but I haven't paid too much attention. What about if I make a change to an existing booking? What if I use a ticket held in credit?

I am 150 short of retaining gold but with work and personal travel in the next month ill easily get it with the offer!

I got it too. Called the centre today to clarify something regarding it, and the lady was very aware of the offer. So while it may have been targeted, the fact the center are made aware suggests it was probably a wide target.

I previously suspected it was because i'd booked my second QF itinerary for my membership year in the last few weeks, one of which commenced yesterday; and that i'd still be 100 odd sc short of gold requal when completed.

The email was littered with references about the benefits of obtaining platinum though - I notice there's a few above who are SG or WP - what did the WP's email say? The benefits of obtaining P1?

Edit: Redroo, can I make a suggestion, "Enjoy 50% bonus Status Credits on your next Qantas flight" is a bit misleading, as I have upcoming (but booked prior to the promotion) QF Flights that won't qualify for this offer. It is clearly spelled out in the T&Cs, but the header suggests it's the next flight, not the next booking.

The booking made with the voucher will be show the date the voucher was purchased. So you will need to keep lots of screen shots and be prepared to argue your case with QF after you fly.

Got the 50% bonus offer last month and registered even though I had nothing on hand to book. The confirmation page was a bit strange as the start and end dates were blank, but a call to Qantas confirmed the very limited dates. Sure enough - I booked nothing during the offer and was resigned to missing out on the bonus. So imagine my surprise when 4 flights have somehow qualified for the 50% SC bonus. I hope they don't change their minds later as it could make the difference in my struggle to maintain SG this year.

I received one in April. Valid for 7 days only.
Booked a trip to Singapore to take advantage of the resumption of flights from Perth.
However I am paid monthly, so a 7 day offer is of limited value.
If it had been valid for a month I would have spent a lot more money!
Oh and for those who are curious my email (as a WP) did not contain any reference to qualifying for P1.

Sigh, I was afraid of that, I hate having to argue with Qantas. Why do they make things so difficult?
