Advice on securing some quality clean skins pls kids - CS or SH only - must be under cork - JD Cellars best place to head? Any other suggestions?
Dans and Nicks have various monthly specials.

Why under cork? Cleanskins will use very very cheap cork with high porosity which lets in too much air. Better under screw cap.

1 + 1 = x?
Related to the personalised label post in another thread? 🤓
Can't help re C/s but also curious re cork which I avoid unless fizz or premium.
TCA taint over a personal threshold is something that the taste sense never forgets - or forgives. 🤢

Yep 1 + 1 always = 7 or 11 - I am not after el cheapos and would anticipate early consumption so cork degradation not overly important - I might just give JD a call this morn and see what they have.

I vaguely remember buying a really good Shiraz from JD a few years back that already had a few years under the belt - just thought I might cast the net a bit wider.

I assembled a ‘tester’ yesterday on one of the $13 Leconfields from Langtons a while back but I now gotta somehow camo the cap seal.

I have some excellent seals I bought years ago to make another batch of gifts from cleanskins and they just put a top on the product 😁 😎 😘

Lying nicely in your background I see some Voyagers. Recently thru Grays I have been buying their 2005/2006 Sauv/Sem and their sublime 2016 chenin blanc for about $9 a bottle delivered. Auction price for 6 was about $34. An absolute steal for this quality. They do have reds but I haven't needed any.

this was in the news a few weeks ago,

is it just me, but I cant work out what actually happened in the end, the twist?
she mentions a bait and switch, so did she get the second bottle and pretend to open it and serve the first one again?

cant see how you could pretend to open a different one without opening it

That's what I understand - she showed them a new bottle and then took it away then came back with the first bottle for them to try and they were happy

Obviously they didn't ask me or a few of my friends as that last green arrow would have looked like it had swallowed some Viagra and given the Yanks some run for their money. Maybe Donald slipped one in that said good plonk helps with caronavirus ? Maybe the Americans bought a few nice treasury Estates to drink as they misheard caronavirus to be carona. Who knows?
