On Thursday 22 August, I traveled on UA 824 from LAX to BOS.
It was a daytime transcontinental flight in good weather.
Sure, I did not have a window seat. The atmosphere inside the plane was a like a movie theatre with every window shade down. Understandable considering almost everyone was looking at some sort of screen.
I may be a little old fashioned but on a clear day I find it fascinating to look down on the countryside we are passing over. Even if it’s only an occasional glimpse while standing up.
Guess this observation makes me an old fashioned dinosaur but I wonder if any others share my feelings?
My previous international trip to Japan was similar. I did much rail travel and on mist occasions the window curtains were pulled down thereby limiting any attempt to view the scenery.
