Sitting in the Business lounge at Brisbane domestic when I saw your post.
Checked the starting date/time:

The promotion runs from 00.01 on 27/8/08 to 23.59 on 30/9/08

I like it when I am flying on the first day of the promo (and not yesterday)...

Now to eat one more over-sized party pie before they are all gone...

After enduring multiple "Australia" promotions on recent flights, I'm wondering what association Qantas has with the production.

It's not like they can sneak in shots of their 747 landing in Sydney or Darwin ...

I believe she arrives in Darwin on a QF Flying Boat just prior to WW2.
(Short Sunderland or the like)

Also, I think part of the sponsorship deal was for Qantas to ferry cast and crew around during filming and promotion at a significantly reduced consideration.

Actually I don't think you see the flying boat....
(unless they added it with CGI).

Entered another contest with little hope of winning but I will have a few extra tickets in the draw due to my weekly commute. If I do happen to win though I will need some friends to join me at the Premiere.
