I'm sure there's at least one person in Mascot reading this thread and chuckling away to themselves (as in all the years past).

me I'm just sitting on the sidelines watching on with interest and just the faintest hint of amusement.

I'm waiting for the next date to be offered up....

I wonder if Nostradamus ever wrote a quatrain about DSC promos? hmmm

Perhaps it's 11 AM McGowan time? In which case expect to see the promo drop in 2 and a half hours.

My bet though is Uncle Alan won't see his shadow this year and so there won't be a DSC

A broken clock is right twice a day.
Not sure what clock you use, but for me it's once a day!

In the 3rd month, and with the ringing of midday in the city of great fire, there will be a surge of force that will double the might and power of any that would ride a winged creature of steel, however only if they were to do so by making a new booking, and before the dawn of the 7th day.

I think you missed the fine print:

So is Friday, 24th.

21st March 2023 was the end of the previous DSC flight period.
Like most of you, I look forward to DSC promo.
My thoughts are, why would they while
1. There is demand, pax want to fly
2. Travellers are still willing to pay top $$
3. Staff and aircraft schedules still under pre covid levels
4. Status rollover/extension runs till end of June
Very happy to be proven wrong but my guess is towards the end of the 2023 year. 😒

DSC is a Qantas Loyalty initiative, and they don’t really care about your first three points. It will be interesting if status extensions impact booking volumes, maybe they will, who knows. But not long to wait to find out.

Do you not have 12 hour analogue clocks in Canada?
12 hour time is standard in Canada (except for travel where the Feds require you use 24 hour time). Having been stranded at once in the big lemon (Toronto) due to my misinterpreting a 14:00 departure as 4 PM instead of 2 PM, I decided since then to stick to normal (24 hour) time.
Or idioms?

A broken idiom is not always correct twice a day, but a poorly written simile will always attract a smile!

The idiom doesn't work with digital, because if that breaks, it's never right, because the display is blank.
