Will Melbourne get Rail link to Tullamarine

Anyone used the train from SFO to the cbd, a fast, driverless, electric train that gets you the city in about 9 stops and $8.50. perfect, and it's part of the wider commuter system.

I live in Melbourne and I still think a train to the airport is a grand waste of money and unless it has a dedicated line from Southern Cross it'll get caught in the train jams that occur daily between SC and nth Melbourne

If you connect it into the standard gauge network you'll get a clear run, no stations and few trains into Southern Cross (Spencer St), I think 2 XPT's per day for Sydney and the Overland which only operates 3 time per week plus something to and from Albury.

You mean BaRT?

Yeah, I've used it. Really just a train with a station/loop at the Airport.
