Ok here's a related question. What's chance of points upgrade request clearing tonight SIN-ADL? Flight is showing J9 C9 D9 I9. I am WP, but am travelling on fare that is not normally upgradable (I received invitation by email to use pts for upgrade on this flight, as has been observed happening by others this year).

Loadings are looking blank-ety blank blank to me on QF82.

Point upgrades have been rather rife given our tough financial times and combined with the fact that you're not facing too much competition I'm going to punt on a 'yes, you will get upgraded' vote*.

I can confirm the chances were indeed above average for a Gold member to upgrade his "father" (closest thing to "self" in the list of eligible family members) on HKG-BNE tonight. Home you are successful out of SIN.

The best way to tell, and generally known well before anything changes for the positive in the booking, is the adjustment to the FF points balance in the account.

I noticed someone had stolen 40,000 points from my account in the wee hours of the morning (noticed them missing at 4am, were not missing at midnight). Now it seems Qantas has decided they need to compensate me for stealing my points by providing an upgrade.

Well it looks like the upgrade gods are not smiling on me.

The waitlist in checkmytrip disappeared about 3hrs ago, and now have checked in no luck.

EF is now showing J8 C8 D8 I8, and 8 unallocated seats. Obviously they thought earlier today they might have a chance of selling those extra seats or there's quite a few on the upgrade list ahead of me. Oh well at least I snared an exit row before they started charging for them, so that is a consolation.
