Why has Qantas Replaced Qantas Link on MEL-OOL-MEL

Have received multiple flight number changes on our regular MEL-OOL-MEL flights which means no more new Airbus 220 with 2 and 3 seat configuration and just happen to like the 2 seat configuration and now back to the old Qantas 737-800, so does anyone know why the change ??

I recall flying on the 733 (or 4) and even 767s on the route back in the 90s. Good to see it back with mainline after a few decades.

Melbourne to Brisbane going more A220 but Melbourne to OOL going mainline. Hard to get my head around the QF strategy half the time…
