Seeing as though I'm having no luck with anymore Velocity rewards at the moment and getting closer to June travel time, I have to bite the bullet and book the last remaining leg of an upcoming trip.

I don't necessarily have to fly out of SIN (could fly to KUL, HKG, BKK and then onwards to LHR)...but I am a bit unsure on who's J product is best bang for my buck, and have a lot of flights during the trip that I really don't want any more sectors.

I would have preferred Singapore, Virgin Atlantic or Etihad, but at the moment pricing is too high one way. And i would also prefer leaving from SIN and not having to fly elsewhere unless the pricing is really good. Hoping for $2000 one way each in J and obviously a decent J product.

Other options that pricing is ok for J is
Thai $2500 SIN/BKK/LHR
Finnair $1800 HKG/LHR
Korean $2000 HKG/BKK/LHR
Malaysian $2600 KUL/LHR (direct)

Your thoughts? Or anyway I may have missed?

Have to be in London by a certain date and have around 24 hours only to get there from SIN

RJ if you're happy to fly BKK-LHR via Amman, or Sri Lankan via Colombo. Those two would probably have the best value J, although that FInnair deal is pretty good, but bearing in mind you have to transit HEL.

What date are you looking at Mella?

Did a search using the ITA Matrix software & amongst the fares you've already mentioned the search returned a fare of SGD592.00 on Saudi via RUH & SGD1216.00 on Sri Lankan via CMB.

I couldn't find the link for the all important fare rules on what site you use to book that airline. It's a bit hard to believe that those prices are for travel in J though.

Maybe someone here who is more familiar with ITA Matrix could advise.

An AA award might be the obvious answer!

Departing SIN on 26th June any time (arrive there the night before)...need to be in LHR at the latest by 7pm on the 27th

The Saudi option is in whY so not sure why it came up in the business class search tho. The price for Sri Lankan for 26 June is SGD1,215.30.

Have you considered Jet Airways? I've always been happy with them, the J product is good with aisle access for all.
Couple of different options on the dates you want to fly, 0800 departure on 26th arrives LHR that evening via DEL, or an evening departure from SIN via BOM arrives LHR early the following morning.
Both options coming in at similar money to TG & MH - about $2600. And you get to experience an airport in India which is always entertaining!

LX had cheap launch fares ex SIN recently to support their return to SIN but not sure they file good one way fares.

Thanks all for the replies.

Ozbeachbabe: I did look at Sri Lankan however that is definitely the old seating, not the new business class hence why the price is so low.

Not interested in going via India whatsoever, but thanks for that suggestion to the poster also.

Keith:I'll have a look at LX

Markis: I'm not with AA, so no awards like that possible!

Often there are good promos to buy miles or to transfer from Amex (preferably via SPG - accounts are free anyway)

I would suggest you join given its free, wait the 14 days then buy some miles, currently they have a promo to buy 60000 and get 50% extra for free, or 30000 more for around $1600 AUD, which is less than the options you have quoted. A one way J ex SIN LHR is:

YOu would have enough miles left over for a one way J ex anywhere in Asia back to Australia/ NZ! Of course you don't have to buy the full 60000, 40000 (+ bonus) would do it making the cost of the J flight roughly USD1100 + miles purchase taxes + $81.20 flight taxes ;)
