I disagree. They make enough from the merchant as well as from those that don't pay off their CC each month. If they attempt to start changing an annual fee. I'm closing the account.

I get about 200k points per year from my Premier, for free. 80k Krisflyer. Plus a couple of lounge passes.

Keeping the card really depends on what the annual fee is.

There's not a lot of easy ways for Aus based to get KF points these days, especially after the Amex deval.

It's all moot until someone actually gets notice that an annual fee will apply.

Its being confirmed elsewhere that the annual fee charged on the FFL credit cards was a mistake. so dont worry about it.
Whats more disappointing now is NAB just announced devalued their points earn.

my take, being a NAB cardholder for 40 years, NAB was already a poor credit card rewards service, which is funny becuase in late 90's they were the leader in points earn and probably the first to do it. This pushes NAB down the list further. But in saying that, I wouldnt be surprised if all the banks will water theirs down too.

I mainly use cash with 95% of my purchases. Its just the Airlines That I use most of the CC for and to get the reward points.
