I have recently perused a very useful thread from a few years ago relating to the means of contacting Qantas other than by its preferred method - ringing Qantas and waiting x minutes. The OP asked, quite reasonably, if there were (alert: subjunctive mood) an email contact.

The usual arrogant suspects gave their high-class opinions - i.e. go bag your head; if you're not a Platinum or better what are you doing here you cretin - but then someone unknown chopped off the discussion.

Why?

Threads auto close after 18 months of inactivity. That's a great idea because you don't want someone dragging up an old thread.

Some threads don't last that long if the discussion gets heated and insults start flying around everywhere.

If you wish to add to the discussion on a closed thread you can PM one of the mods.

It is usually easier to just start a new thread

If a thread has been auto closed and you want to post new information just PM a moderator and they can assist.

The old thread could be out of date with its info as well. There always seems to be new happenings with airlines and accommodation.
