My collection always has a bit of a story attached. 4 1/2 years of uni in Scotland equates to many a whisky trail across the Highlands.
Highland Park- used to prefer the 18 yr old but purchased the 21 yr old recently...nectar. The Orkney Islands whisky trail was were we encountered the rampant ram who had probably consumed 1 too many a wild magic mushroom. Rutting contests with hire cars was a bad move!!
Knockando- Speyside and close encounter with the boys in blue whilst tickling a few salmon
Lagavulin- Islay at is best, the king of malts. Just good memories of the Port Ellen B+B, peat water baths and bacon butties for breakfast.
I've given up buying JW red for the "special" visitors and save them the trouble by stocking the premixed version with coke in a can!!!
