Which seats for a couple on Etihad a380 and 777 business

Hi All,
Thought i had this question all worked out until i had to ring and do seat allocation and it seemed to go pear shaped..! ..The only 2 seats together ( E,F ) are in row 22 ,Is that a problem being at the back of the plane or are we better to take the D,G option sitting backwards but closer to the front..?
The guy on the phone seemed to say we wouldn't be able to see each other ?
Also then on the 777 same problem no 2 seats in any row with E,F so he suggested G,H ?...
I have now watched every utube and read every blog and feel brain dead..! Of course i should be happy with any seat in J but..........!..Also as i booked the flights through velocity i have to ring to change seats which makes it more annoying...

A380: I would prefer facing forward. Back of aircraft is not a biggie.

B777: GH is great . What? an aisle is going to affect your relationship? Both have proper aisle access

Mrs QS has often travelled on separate flights to same destination, sometimes on different days. On same aircraft we are often in different cabin/floors. Last time she scored F on QF A380. Do you think she visited me once or enquired of my wellbeing at the back?

Thanks QS i was thinking the back might be more bumpy and there maybe more noise from galley etc.?
..In a perfect world sitting together so i can sample some of my partners food and wine is always good...What i probably should of said if we are going to do GH and compromise not taking 2 separate A or K seats would we be actually be able to talk anyway...Hope that makes sense ..ps We have both been on F Qantas a380 and i think if i have the right plane we spoke on their handy little phone..!
