Hi all,
I'm researching award bookings for a trip to France/Italy for later next year, doing dummy bookings to see what flights may likely be available. I have enough Qantas points to book the Asia to Europe leg on First, which I'd like to do to surprise my partner.
I'm looking for flights out of HKG (or SIN) to CDG, but would be happy with BRU/AMS/MXP.
I have found 4 possible options that could work, and I was wondering which you would choose.
1. BA (HKG-LHR-CDG) 268,000 points for 2, taxes $245
2. CPA (HKG-LHR-AMS/BRU) 304,000 points for 2, taxes $262
3. CPA (SIN-HKG-MXP) 304,000 points for 2, taxes $453
4. EK (SIN-CDG) 252,000 points for 2, taxes $1130
On the face of things, BA looks like the best option - low points and taxes, and I'd get to use the CPA HKG lounge - but is BA first really as bad as the reviews say? EK is far too expensive. So that leaves 2 or 3. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance.
