Have a 4 hour transit in Singapore next week? I am QF gold, flying Finnair J. Should I use QF, BA or Marhaba lounge. I am looking for a peaceful spot with comfy chairs and maybe a G&T?

Maybe check whether their opening hours coincide with your transit.

I was in the BA lounge late afternoon one day last week. I was told hot food service would start at 5pm, with orders placed via QR code at your seat. Drinks seemed to be 'pour your own' though. It was quiet and comfortable in there at that time.

Approx 5-10pm

That's plenty of time for all 3, assuming they're all open. QF and BA should be at least.

Pre pandemic you could terminal-hop to visit other OW lounges in other terminals too, eg MH lounge. Not sure if that's still possible.

Other than T1, only T3 is currently operating...

Thanks Anna! I guess it will pass time more quickly if I lounge hop! Not something I’ve done before so new adventure for the transit time!

@speik Here a list of lounges at SIN.

Note the lounge status (some are closed), opening times and carrier restrictions (some 3rd party lounges are specific).

I have no idea how busy things are these days, but prior to Covid the QF lounge would get pretty busy towards 7pm. The QF and BA lounges are right next to each other.

I would tend to go to the QF lounge first for a shower (much nicer than the BA ones). Then I'd eat in the QF lounge and for peace and quiet move across to the BA one a little later.

I thought the BA lounge tends to get busier later with the LHR bound flights departing around 11 pm?

At the moment, I assume QF lounge closes when QF82 is called for boarding (around 8:30pm, if departs at 9pm), so the last hour will need to migrate to the BA lounge anyway. Later in June when QF 1 returns it will be open much later.

You could be right. I tend to leave the BA lounge around 7pm for the QF flight home to PER. So what happens later is a mystery to me :)

Sounds like QF first and BA after might be a good plan.
Pre COVID-19 usually transited through HKG with its once fab lounges so Singapore is a new experience for us…… and likely to be our new future transit city
