From Abu Dhabi, which Greek Isle would you choose for a 4 day side trip and why?

Santorini is just stunning. Just like the photos suggest. Fantastic food. Great ferry service. Just a really fun place.

I reckon we took over a thousand photos. We stayed right at the cliff face in Fira.

This was the view from our balcony.
Perfect for sunset

And close to the public bus for Oia one direction and the beach in the other.

Pushka where did you stay ? I stayed in Oia last time but thought I would stay Fira next. cheers :)

Mykonos...even for the not so young anymore ;). I vistied both Santorini and Mykonos last year and enjoyed them both.

We stayed at Theoxenia booked through booking.com. It includes a wonderful breakfast delivered to your balcony.

It's on the Jewellery Street. Apparently one of the busiest in the world. Well, that's what they told us. And the jewellery is real. Beautiful gold and gems.

I know my name isn't Pushka, but when I went we stayed at Enigma, and had a very similar experience ;)

Loads of extra photos on TripAdvisor but don't think you can go wrong with most of the hotels!

Hard to believe but I have never been to a Greek island.

When I eventually get around to going I am more than likely going to stay away from the "popular" touristy party islands.

Patmos and Tinos are on top of the list followed by the Western Cyclades islands of Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos and
Milos.

You can't beat Santorini. It would always be my recommendation if you're only going to one island. Imerovigli is a nice spot to stay - walking distance to Fira. Check out White Santorini.
I really love Rhodes too - you could do two nights in the old medieval city (it's seriously incredible if you're into that sort of thing). And also do a couple of nights in Lindos for the beach experience.

We loved our time at Paros & Antiparos. We visited Santorini on a day trip from there. I think we enjoyed being away from the hordes of Santorini but that is just the way we travel

Only one I've been to is Santorini and can only concur with the previous endorsements in this thread - it is great!

I loved Santorini too - it was really busy on the days the cruise ships were in, but had a lovely atmosphere.

Yes, my advice with that would be to go early season if you can so you can miss the cruise traffic. As our holiday progressed we noticed over just the course of a week how much busier it was getting...

We are doing one of those cruises in April, that calls at Santorini. Loving the photos from Pushka.
