I'm at AKL at the moment looking out over a couple of ANZ AC. One is a 777 in a full black and white paint job, saw an a320 today as well that was the same. I must admit this is one of he best I have seen...

Yeah, I agree they look fantastic. They would be my pick

Don't get me started. There have been some fantastic liveries out there but some of the great ones have now disappeared.

Could only happen in Japan - ANA's Pokemon 747's:
"The 747-400 is currently the best way to fly internationally (upper deck rules!). Having Pokemon painted on its body makes the plane 539-percent cooler. There are actually a few versions of ANA's special-edition aircraft. Some of the Pokemon that appear on it include Pikachu, Mew, Clefairy, Togepi, Wynaut, and Bellossom. These planes also feature Pokemon headrest covers, cups, and flight attendant aprons." (from: gamesradar.com).

Good thread!

Best: Hooters Air ( need I say more )
Worst: Eva Air - Hello Kitty airplane - complete with kitty pillows & headrest covers

Their All Black ATR looked pretty cool too.

Strewth! Luminous paint was discounted at Costco that month?
Is that a glow in the dark number?
Surely the Hi Viz would do well for the mine runs in Oz - just tweek the colour scheme to match the ever growing evident variety of Hi Viz outfits in the lounges around Australia of late.
At least it would make it easier for some to find the aircraft. ;)

They also have a sense of humour with their cabin announcements.
E.g. "You should fit your own oxygen mask before fitting your child's; if you have more than one child, choose your favourite"

Sure beats the robotic scripted 'jokes" on Virgin Blue.. It had become so tiresome..
I often fly with Cebu Pacific Air in Philippines, though not such a wonderful livery, they have 'fun flights" involving various games & light Karaoke favourites - sans Barnsie. With prizes attached.
It is always a light hearted gesture to integrate the crew & to alleviate the routine of flying, even for a LCC, a pleasant concept.

I have done some of the Cebu flights where they do the games mid flight but I would rather they didn't do them on red eye flights.

I've always liked the 2 MH liveries while they lasted.

It was always sad to see Wunala get repainted into standard livery, considering that it has been around for a while (OJB and OEJ). I don't think the current special livery on the 380 really cuts it.

OJB6904164083_945dab65da_n.jpg and OEJpict2808.jpg compared to 3826_10151095125727686_2030102491_n.jpg

I think there can be some pretty interesting ones out there, but this one from SA is not one you want to see after a big night out...

for the 'best' liveries my vote goes to the retro liveries many airlines are introducing as a one off. some look really cool. For the worst - any low cost carrier that somehow needs to plaster [name of airline].com on the fuselage (which is invariably accompanied by the inflight magazine with the CEO without a tie).
