I saw a thread a couple of weeks ago, discussing booking AA fares as part of a QF RTW fare, and there was a comment that you needed to book into a specific class to get first class SC earn. Can anyone tell me which if I should book the AA flight number in A or the QF flight number in D to get the higher SCs?

The AA flight number. If you have a DONE then it books into A on AA if you choose the aa flight number.

  • A class is Discounted First Class and earns as such for both QF and AA flight numbers.

  • D class is Discounted Business Class and earns as such for both QF and AA flight numbers.

So in your case a choice between booking D or A, the answer is as posted by drron (unless on a three class flight, which could not be the case here)
