Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for an overnight in Langkawi? I am doing a status run and am looking for somewhere central that won't blow the budget, whilst also giving me a good base for a day of sightseeing.

Grateful for any and all thoughts.

We stay at the Berjaya and it can have decent rates at times. Has a good beach and is within walking distance of the Langkawi cablecar which takes you up to the sky bridge for great views. Taxis are pretty cheap also if you wish to go further

I stayed at Meritus Pelangi. Very long beachfront and walking distance (either by road or beach) to the main shopping/eating area. Close to the airport too which is handy for an overnight stay. I picked up a room for $150 on an Expedia Daily Deal.

My future wife and I stayed at berjaya back in 1996 - and we loved it!! Most memorable was the food. Reasonably priced and fantastic - but that was so many years ago - who knows now? :)

Last visit was middle of last year and have been there 3 times and the food has always been great. As you said it’s very well priced aswell. We were there for 4 days last time and ate every meal there aswell as plenty of drinks at the beach and the pool bar and were expecting a massive bill when we checked out and got a very nice surprise I must say
