Where to get a pre-flight COVID-19 test?

At the end of the day all it gets down to is wanting that negative result to get on board that plane. How, where and why are all secondary.

As everyone advised, no issue accessing histopath at MEL is morning MEL airport advice that testing can only be completed on day of travel
is out of date . Lovely staff, results in just under an hour.

Paid $48 for a supervised RAT and document from Macquarie St pharmac_ (185 Macquarie St, Sydney CBD) for travel to the US. The RAT was $13 appprox, and the remainder was for the pharmacist service. Highly recommended!
Could I ask if anywhere in the certificate it indicates that you actually administered it?

Also does it have DOB or passport number?

Just trying to understand suitability for Singapore.

Yes it says I had a negative supervised RAT, and has my DOB and passport number.

The pharmac_ had 4 countries this was eligible for: the US, UK, and I don't remember the other 2.

EDIT: I'll add that I uploaded my vaccine certificate, negative RAT, attestation, and contact tracing to Delta's FlyReady. Looks like someone in Delta's back office is manually reviewing it, but it was approved in under an hour. I didn't have to show anything at the airport!

Probably makes it the cheapest RAT's for travel in Australia. $29 for a travel RAT plus a spare rat to take with you!
Has anyone actually done this at Chemist Warehouse? I asked about it in my local branch yesterday (will need one for a trip to the US next week) but they had no clue about it and there was no sign in sight.

I also can’t find anything on their website- maybe it’s just some branches that do it? Or maybe just that particular pharmacist was extra clueless (or she just did not understand- her English was rather basic, especially for someone with an Australian pharmacist license- no idea how she even would have gotten that tbh).

I thought it was just some stores. Someone in the HFC facebook group has been trying to hunt down info but its been hard to come by.

Currently in SIN and looking at options for pre-departure rat/art tests for back to AUS. All info I can find is for the 72 hr pcr not the 24hr rat option.

Both Raffles Medical and Fullerton Health offer RAT's prices are about $30-40:

An alternative is to buy a RAT from a chemist and then pay an online supervision service (I think the one I've seen on this thread is about $80).

I think @dajop gave this page previously
An interesting one to keep an eye on is the Doctor Anywhere supervised rat. This is $13 plus the cost of the RAT.

They do note that the RAT used must be approved in Singapore (although it's possible to get the Panbio tests that are approved in Singapore on Amazon AU for $15) so for $28 you can get a supervised RAT.

The reasony why I say keep an eye on is currently they state you must be in Singapore but the Q&A's say watch this space given they've recently allowed supervised RAT's for returning to Singapore I suspect they might expand.

Courtesy of Pushka. Supervised testing no longer required for travel to Oz from 17 April

I rang up my Chemist Wharehouse, apparently they're NOT travel approved RT-PCR tests that get sent to a lab, they're "Supervised RATS" - just normal RATS with a bit of paper saying a pharmacist witnessed that Person X tested negative.

Probably designed for Frontline Medical workers rather than travelling

That’s acceptable for many country’s now. PCR testing is finally on the way out.

Looking at the top 10 countries Australians travel to pre covid...

1. New Zealand (will accept supervised RAT's)
2. Indonesia - specfically Bali (currently requires a stupid number of PCR's)
3. Thailand (no pre departure tests - PCR on arrival)
4. The Philippines (accepts supervised RAT's)
5. Japan (still closed)
6. USA (accepts supervised RAT's)
7. Singapore (accepts supervised RAT's)
8. Fiji (accepts supervised RAT's)
9. India (no pre departure tests - random testing on arrival)
10. The UK (no testing)

5 of 10 allow for supervised RAT's
Only 1 requires a pre departure PCR

No. CW are specifically targeting travellers requiring supervised RATs. I spoke with the pharmacist at my local CW today and she estimated that 100% of their customers so far were travellers.
