Mr Timtammi and I just returned from a trip to Bangkok and QF have stiffed us on our points and status credits saying that our 3K operated QF codeshare flights from SIN-BKK are not eligible as they are booked into the wrong class.
Maybe I have had my head in the sand, and I know there have been lots of changes recently, but I was of the belief (wrong it seems) that if you booked it as a codeshare you got the points and status credits as if it was a Qantas operated flight. That is what the Ts and Cs say. But apparently there is a completely separate page in the Ts and Cs (not cross referenced by the way) that gets them off the hook if the class isn't right.
But the thing is, I cant even find out what class the tickets booked into! I just checked my eticket and it just says Economy restricted. We were able to put in for upgrades on the SYD-SIN leg, and we were aware that we were actually flying 3K from SIN to BKK but thought as we booked it all as one ticket and that leg was a codeshare on QF4212 that we would get the points/SC.
How do I check what class the ticket was in? I reckon this is not fair by the way, having a blanket statement on one page with a tick box option for partner airlines that indicates which ones offer codeshare and then a note at the bottom that says that if you book the codeshare you get the points and status credits WITHOUT any caveats that say but only for certain classes is misleading in my book.
