I've just booked a J class Classic Reward SIN-MEL for 2 Feb 2020 and wondering how likely it is that the new A380 refits will be done by then.

I think I heard somewhere they will be completed by the end of 2020, but can anyone confirm?

As an aside, it seems that more award availability is being released. I initially made a J class booking SIN-BNE on EK because I couldn't find a direct flight to Sydney for 2 pax, but today was able to book the SIN-SYD (via MEL) with no trouble at all. So I'm now cancelling the EK flights which will save me time and staying at BNE airport hotel.

End of 2020 is correct.
From information posted on AusBT the last aircraft is due to go to Dresden in Nov 2020, and will likely return to service mid-December so Qantas has all 12 A380s for the summer peak.

By Feb 2020 probably 4 complete so you'd have a 35-40% chance.
